Google Fiber Review, Awesomely Different Kind of Internet and TV

Google Fiber is supposedly the fastest internet in the world. It's breathtaking. Just watch some videos on www.youtube.com of people downloading games on Steam or movies from the iTunes Store. It takes about 20-30 seconds to download a 1 gigabyte game and atleast 2 mins to download a 4 gigabyte movie. I personally can not wait for this to possibly come to my city.

Google Fiber is awesome ,insane ,but it's which is only available in few states in the US. My internet is turning very slow I have to download my games overnight in order to not slow down web browsing and online gaming during the day.

The idea of Google fiber delivering 1Gbps right to your front door is incredible. But as stated above; their network expansion is slow and impeded by local policy. Also, has anyone ever compared the prices of internet in the west versus Asian countries such as Korea or Japan? Even adjusting for the difference in economic strength, Asia and even some eastern European countries have the fastest and cheapest internet on the planet.

Unfortunately Google Fiber is limited to only a few cities. I hope one day it's widespread where everyone can enjoy it. If I were to move, I would definitely choose somewhere that has access to Google Fiber.

In Canada, internet options are quite limited. Many people in an urban area with a large population and they really only have 2 choices of carriers. They always get a little sad when they hear about how amazing Google Fiber is. Go save them Google!

When I first saw Fiber it brought a tear to my eye. The speed tests some of my friends have are insane. 940 Mbps up and down. Most people are envious of my 100 Mbps Down 10 Mbps Up. But I mean.... 940 Mbps UP AND DOWN.... Wow.

While I don't think it is coming anytime soon, I hope Google Fiber-esque speeds becomes the norm. Too many providers have jacked the price of internet up because they control the market. Once Google exposes that extremely fast Internet doesn't have to cost as much, consumers everywhere will benefit.
